What is a peer-reviewed journal and how do I find one?
Answer
A peer-reviewed scholarly journal includes an author’s scholarly work, research, or ideas only after being evaluated by other experts in the same field.
Find peer-reviewed journal articles by visiting the Library homepage:
- initiate a search using the Library Search box, then "Tweak your results" "Availability" by selecting the "Peer-reviewed Journals" option.
- select a database from the "Find Things" tile, such as
- EBSCO's Academic Search Complete (or a database from the "Complete list of EBSCO Databases"). Check the boxes to "Limit your results" to "Full Text" and "Peer Reviewed".
- Gale's "Academic One File" or a database from the "Complete list of Gale Databases", select "Advance Search", then select "Peer-Reviewed Journals"
