Where can I go to verify facts?
Answer
It is important to be responsible consumers of information.
Of course the Libraries databases are a good place to verify what you hear and see. Use the Library search box, the Find Things tile, and the COM 181 Lib Guide.
Additionally, there are a number of Fact Checkers available. Some are:
- FactCheck.org
- OpenSecrets.org
- Politifact.com
- Snopes.com
- Washington Post Fact Checker
- For info about other fact-checking sites visit Duke Report's Lab.
If you need additional assistance, please send us a LibChat, email, visit the Library, or call (606)326-2169.
