How do I turn off pop-up blockers in my browser?
Answer
When programs open in a second window (such as Collaborate on Blackboard), if pop up blockers are turned on, the new window will not open. Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge are not recommended browsers for accessing these resources. Please use Chrome or Firefox.
In Chrome:
1. Select the three dots in the upper right corner in Chrome.
2. Select Options.
3. Select the Privacy and Security tab.
4. Click Site Settings
5. Click Pop Ups and Redirects
6. Click the dot next to "Blocked" so that it switches to "Allowed."
In Firefox:
1. Select the three horizontal bars in the upper right corner in Firefox.
2. Select Options.
3. Select the Privacy and Security tab.
4. Uncheck the box that says “Block pop up windows”
